Day Old

This is the best picture that I have been able to take of the mother.  She’s pretty cautious and flies off when she sees us.  She is sitting on the edge of the nest. 

Later in the afternoon when I checked on the baby birds the last one was hatched and shells gone. 

I’m amazed at how already I can  see some development of these babies.  How awesome is it, that it only takes 12 days for these babies to develop inside of the egg.  They are so helpless when they hatch!  It boggles my mind to think that these babies will be ready to fly off in as little as 9 days.  How amazing our God is!
